What exactly does $758,596 get you in Brooklyn? Let’s take a look.

Apartment 3 at 633 Macon Street is a two bedroom floor-through apartment in a converted pre-war townhouse in Bedford Stuyvesant.  The turn-of-the-century building is located on a lovely townhouse block between Patchen Avenue and Ralph Avenue across from PS 70.

The property was renovated and converted to condominium ownership in 2020.  The building offers four apartments, including two simplex units, a garden duplex and a multi-floor penthouse.

While the building is pre-war, there is nothing in the apartment that reflects the building’s lineage.  The entire building appears to have been gutted during the conversion.

The living space consists of an open living/dining/kitchen layout with high ceilings,  recessed lighting and a wall of oversized double-pane windows with neighborhood views.

The open kitchen fits snugly along one wall of the living area. It’s outfitted with custom cabinetry and top-of-the-line stainless-steel appliances, including an integrated dishwasher.

There is a split bedroom layout, somewhat unusual for a floor-through apartment.  The home’s primary bedroom faces Macon Street and offers a large walk-in closet.  The second bedroom has a corner layout and is located in the rear of the floor.

Additional features include central HVAC, washer/dryer hookups and wide plank floors. There is a private 5×6 storage space in the basement as well.

633 Macon Street is a classic Brooklyn brownstone with an elegant stoop entry.  Security is provided by a video intercom system. The apartment was introduced to the market in March and was under contract in two months.
