What exactly does $1.150 million get you in Manhattan?  Let’s take a closer look.

Apartment Garden 1 at 450 West 20th Street is a renovated ground floor one-bedroom apartment with a generous private garden space.  The co-op residence enjoys a gated street entrance and 550 square feet of exterior bliss.

The pre-war townhouse at 450 West 20th Street is located on one of the best blocks in Chelsea, commonly referred to as the Seminary Block (there are actually two such blocks).  The name references the General Theological Seminary which occupies the city block between West 20th Street and West 21st Street.

Of course, all of Chelsea is right outside your door.  The High Line is literally steps to the west while Chelsea Piers and the Hudson River Greenway are barely two blocks away.

This classic mid-century townhouse has five floor-through residences across five floors.  The penthouse unit has exclusive access to the roof.

Apartment Garden 1 is a gracious one bedroom with an extended foyer and a separate dining area.  The two spaces share a wall of exposed brick.

The bedroom faces the street (there is a significant setback) while the living room looks out onto the rear garden.  A large bay window nicely frames the outdoor space.  A decorative fireplace serves as a focal point for the living room.

The renovated kitchen offers a contemporary design with a large pass through opening. There are stone countertops as well as stainless steel appliances.  An LG all-in-one washer/dryer is an added convenience.  The garden apartment at 450 West 20th Street was first listed in April 2022.  Within a week, the property went to contract.  Five weeks after it hit the market, the property sold at the ask of $1.150 Million.  The listing was represented by the Tyler Whitman team at Triplemint.
